MIDI Notes:
- I started with a Creative Sound Blaster card and 'Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth' sound fonts. My thinking was the songs would sound the same on every Windows computer.
- Then Creative abandoned its users by not updating device drivers.
- So I switched to Eugene Gavrilov's device driver: www.kxproject.com.
- Then Eugene updated his driver but sound fonts were not supported correctly.
- So now I am using Coolsoft Virtual Midi Synth with a Creative sound font: 4GMGSMT.SF2.
- Maybe someday, I'll have time to go back and remix my earlier songs.
- This year, 2019, I started using Cakewalk as my MIDI editor. My old MIDI editor is no longer supported. Cakewalk is extremely powerful, it's a complete DAW (digital audio workstation) and best of all...free! You just have to join BandLab: https://www.bandlab.com
Recommendation: If you are going to listen to music on your PC, do yourself a favor and connect your PC to a REAL stereo and not the crummy toy speakers that come with PCs.
